![]() I would really appreciate it if this path's existence was better communicated in-game (I only found out about it by digging through the mod's event files). The fact that this path is both super obscure and heavily reliant on RNG is frustrating, because not only is a PSA/NE alliance thematic and cool, but it also has almost a dozen events and 2 whole focus tree paths tied to it. And even if Canada does make the right decisions, you still might get locked out of this path because the PSA isn't losing. ![]() Maybe there is some way to bias Canada toward one decision or the other, but I am not aware of it. Now, you may see the problem with this crucial step of the process: it is completely up to the AI whether you can leave the Entente or not. This will give you a decision to declare independence anyway and leave the Entente altogether (50 pp normally, or 0 pp if Canada has invoked the War Measures Act.), Canada then gets an option to declare war on you, but it seems like they're unlikely to do it. As far as I can tell, the simplest way for NE to leave the Entente (and the way I think is intended for this path), is for Canada to deny your request for home rule. That second requirement is particularly tricky because while getting independence as NE is fairly clear and straightforward, leaving the Entente is not. The above conditions must be met before the "Prepare for War" event fires some time after unlocking the "Southern Fires" focus. ![]() The PSA must have surrender progress > 0.05 (i.e. New England must be independent and not in a faction with Canada If anyone successfully got this alliance to form, please tell me how you did it.Īfaik for the "Send Cable to the PSA?" event to fire and the "Joint Pacific-Atlantic Command" to form:Ĭanada must have invoked the War Measures Act or not supported either the PSA or NE I personally have never got the event "Send Cable to the PSA?" to fire without console commands, but I think I have a good idea of what needs to happen for it to work. You might think sounds interesting, and want to try out this alternative path in the ACW2 yourself, but getting the events you need to actually fire is so specific and finicky that it ruins a lot of the fun and immersion. However, there is also a North America path and a Pacific path (all three are mutually exclusive), but both of these require New England to break with Canada and form the "Joint Pacific-Atlantic Command" with the PSA. The one most people are probably familiar with is the Entente Path, where America assumes leadership of the Entente.
